If you do actual research, most companies who sell stretch mark creams say they work and blah blah, but if you talk to your doctor and what not, their is NO actual cure for stretch marks other than surgery. Some creams do reduce them, but you have to continue usage to keep them non-visible. Stretch marks are actually indintations on the skin, creams get rid of the redness, but they can’t magically pull the skin forward to make the skin line up…

Just use a cheap moisturiser – it is the massaging action that keeps the stretch marks at bay not the ingredients contained in them.

I pregnant with my 4th child and I don’t have a single stretch mark, also try adding a little baby oil to the bath water – this also helps.

Good luck with the pregnancy – when are you due?

its regular lotion so it really doesnt work the way they advertise it. You get stretch marks because your skin stretches faster than you can make new skin cells so then you so the 2nd layer of skin. The best advice I can gice is not to gain weight too fast by eating Healthy and eat several small meals a day which also helps with morning sickness. Gain weight but not too quickly. Give your skin time to make new cells to stretch and do keep your thighs belly and breasts moisturized.
I did this and got very tiny and very few stretch marks a week before I was to go in. My daughter is 7 months and they are gone

No. I tried everything in the book! I used Palmer’s Stretch Mark Creme AND Lotion (two different products) from the day I found out I was pregnant, plus I drank my 8 glasses of water a day and gained weight very slowly. I even had good genes on my side! My mom never got a single stretch mark while pregnant. But here I am at 26 weeks with stripes like a purple and white zebra! I keep using the lotions because they help with the itch, and I can’t help but think maybe I’d have even more striations if I hadn’t used the creams at all. A friend of mine used Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and got barely any stretch marks, only about 5, compared to my 5 dozen. Another friend tried Mederma and is still COVERED in stretch marks over a year after her daughter’s birth…they haven’t even faded. So it’s really luck of the draw. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but women who don’t get stretch marks are just lucky…it’s not the creams they use.

Some do and some don’t. I just used cocobutter lotion all the times i was pregnant. They put alot of the stuff on the market just to get people to buy it.

I use a cheap cocoa butter lotion a couple of times a day and have no stretch marks. This is my second pregnancy.

I swear by Palmer’s coco butter for stretch marks!
it did wonders for helping the elasticity of my skin and I continued using it after the birth, I used it on my first pregnancy and neglected to use it on the second and I now have terrible marks.
Now it really does depend on how soon you start using it the sooner the better.
It even helps to reduce the ones you do get its helping me to reduce the redness so the are alot less noticeable then before.
    Good luck, hope this helps!

NOPE. Don’t waste your money. If you are going to get stretch marks (generally, it’s hereditary), no cream in the world will keep them away. However, to try and minimize the extent of the unsightliness (so they won’t be as pronounced), apply a moisturizing lotion on your skin 2 or 3 times a day, especially after bathing/showering.

I don’t believe they work. Its all got to do w/ your jeans! How your skin can hold the stretch. My oldest sister didn’t get any and she had 2 kids. Each of my 4 pg the stretch marks would grow above my belly botton. I tried so many creams, waste!!!
( my 4th child is now 23 mths)

Some can MINIMIZE the appearance of stretch marks but NONE can get rid of stretch marks. They are your’s for the rest of your life.
I look at mine at badges of honor.

I am using the Cocoa Butter cream from The Body Shop. I am 2 months pregnant.. started to use it when I knew that I was actually pregnant! I have heard that even if you use it as much as you can.. those horrible stretch marks will appear! I hope it works a bit and doesnt help stretch mark appear a lot. Try using this type of cream (Not Necessarily this brand) make sure it’s cocoa butter!! and Good luck!
